Morena Schwarzwälder is a director from the Netherlands, currently based in Brussels, where she’s studying her master’s in directing at RITCS School of Arts. Before this, she studied at Mediacollege in Amsterdam, where she specialized in cinematography. Her films come from a personal and sensitive perspective, often exploring themes through an experimental and visually distinctive approach.

Morena’s heart lies in directing actors, where she finds great fulfillment in guiding performances to bring depth and authenticity to her stories. She also enjoys focusing on cinematography and visual storytelling in her projects, which is why she has personally shot many of her own works. This dedication allows her to create films that are both intimate and visually striking.
